Example Letter

Dear Aunt Susan,

Thank you very much for your letter. It was so interesting to learn about your family traditions.

My birthday is on April 19th. It’s springtime, and we usually go to the countryside for a picnic. We play different games, make a fire, and enjoy our time together.

On my last birthday, we didn’t go anywhere. My parents surprised me with a party. When I came home from school, the house was full of guests. There was lots of music, delicious food, and dozens of presents. It was a special day for me because I celebrated my sixteenth birthday that day.

Do you have any special holidays?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Love,
Kate
