Dear Anna,

Thanks for your letter – it was great to hear from you! Sorry I haven’t written for ages, but I’ve been really busy with exams. I’m writing to tell you about my summer plans.

Guess what? My parents have agreed to let me spend two weeks at a surfing camp in Cornwall. I’ve never surfed before, so I’m a bit nervous, but my cousin says it gets easy once you can stand up on the board.

Why don’t you come with me? The camp has places for beginners in July, and it isn’t expensive. We could share a tent and explore the beaches together.

That’s all my news for now. Write back soon and tell me what you think!

Lots of love,
Emma
