Example Letter
Dear John,
Thanks for your letter. I’m sorry I haven’t written in so long, but I’ve been really busy.
I’ve got some good news! I’ve managed to persuade my parents to let me spend a year in England learning the language. I’ll be studying at King’s School, so I hope we’ll be able to meet and chat when I’m there.
That said, I must admit I’m starting to feel a bit worried because everything is so different there. I wonder if I’ll be able to adapt to living with a host family. What kind of challenges do you think I might face? I’d really appreciate your advice.
Please write back soon — I’m really looking forward to your reply. Give my regards to your parents; I hope they’re both well.
Best wishes,
Alex
