Trivias and Quizzes

A quiz is the fastest way to find out what the class actually remembers. Questions come one after another, the answer is checked on the spot, and at the end everyone sees a score – no printing, no marking, no preparation.

Every quiz on this page is ready to open and play. Some are trivia games built around a holiday: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter and Saint Patrick's Day. Others check reading or listening after a story or a video. A few are personality quizzes with no right answer at all – they are there to get students talking.

Tasks

How to use them in class

A quiz works as a warm-up, as revision at the end of a unit, or as a competition between two teams on one screen. Run it on a projector for the whole class, or send the link and let students play on their own. Most take five to ten minutes.

Where these quizzes come from

They live in their own sections of the site – inside a holiday, a book companion or a grammar unit – and are gathered here so you can see all of them in one place. Looking for a full game show instead? Those are on the Jeopardies page.
