Dear Andrew,
Well, here we are in Sydney! The weather is fantastic! We’re staying in a 4-star hotel by Circular Quay. The view is amazing, and the service is great. We have easy access to excellent pubs, restaurants, and shopping down at the Rocks.
The restaurants here are incredible! There’s a mix of cuisines similar to what we see in the US—Italian, Chinese, Thai, and American. The difference is the unique Australian specialties like crocodile, wallaby, ostrich, and kangaroo. Tipping isn’t customary here, though it’s always appreciated.
We’ve done the Bridge Climb over the Sydney Harbour Bridge—the view was breathtaking! Yesterday, we went on a Sydney Harbour dinner cruise aboard the ship The Bounty. It was fantastic! The cruise departs from the harbor near the Rocks, which is super convenient.
Tomorrow, we’re going on a tour of the Blue Mountains, which we hear are spectacular. We’ve already visited several cities in Australia, but Sydney is by far our favorite. This is the best trip of our lives, and there hasn’t been a single thing we didn’t enjoy. If you can tolerate the long flight, Sydney is a must-see destination for you!
