Example Letter

Dear Mary,

How nice of you to write to me about your last visit to the theatre. I’d like to tell you about the theatres in my town. There are two theatres here—one is professional, and the other is amateur.

As for me, I’m a regular theatre-goer. I try to go twice a month. The performances are varied; in my opinion, some of them are great, while others are less impressive. I especially enjoy comedies because I like to relax at the theatre. The last comedy I saw was about teens. It was very funny, and I enjoyed it a lot.

Are you a theatre-goer? Do you like comedies? Could you tell me what comedies are currently showing at your theatres?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Best wishes,
Jane
