Example Letter
Dear Pat,
Thanks for your letter. You should write more often! Anyway, how are things? I hope everything is going well at school.
It’s great that you’ve started taking care of your health! When it comes to keeping fit, I’d say the most important thing is patience. Staying fit is something you need to do regularly and consistently over a long time. If you don’t, it won’t have much effect.
First of all, start gently. Begin by walking—you can walk to school, use the stairs instead of the lift, and take longer walks in the park. After that, consider taking up a sport. They say swimming is the best sport for staying fit and healthy, and I agree. If you can’t go to the beach, try your local swimming pool.
Finally, watch your diet. You can eat a variety of things, but not too much of any one thing. If I were you, I’d make sure to eat fruit and vegetables every day.
That’s all for now. I hope you find my advice helpful.
Write back soon.
Best wishes,
Gloria
