Grammar Jeopardies

A jeopardy board turns grammar revision into a game. The class sees a row of categories and a column of values under each of them; a team picks a square, answers the question and the square is crossed out. Nothing to print, nothing to prepare – open the board on the screen and play.

Categories

Most boards here are built around one tense, two put a choice between tenses on the board, and one is about question words. Whatever the subject, the categories inside a board come at it from different sides: rules to recall, sentences to complete, mistakes to spot, questions to build and a recording to listen to. The higher the value, the harder the question.

Answers are checked on the spot: the right one turns green, the wrong one turns red, and the board remembers which squares have already been taken until you press Reset.
