Question Words Jeopardy
Question Words Jeopardy is a quiz board for what, where, who, whose, when, why, which and how. Twenty questions are split into four categories, and the price of a square says how hard the question behind it is: 100 is a warm-up, 500 makes the class think.
- Question words – the answer is given; choose the word the question starts with
- Make questions – build the question word by word; some of the words are not needed
- Listening activities – hear a question and choose the reply that answers it
- Choose the correct question – three questions, one statement: which question does the bold part answer?
Half the board is about recognising a question word and half is about putting one to work, so it suits a lesson where the words have been met but not yet used. Play it in teams on the screen at the front of the class, or let students work through it on their own. Squares that have been taken stay crossed out; the Reset button starts the game again.
