Remember: greeting → opening → main part → ending (closing line and sign-off).

Every letter, formal or informal, is built the same way: a greeting, an opening that says why you are writing, the main part, and an ending – a closing line and a sign-off with your name. Here three letters have been cut into pieces – put each piece where it belongs.

Watch the openings and closing lines: in a formal letter they are almost always set phrases (I am writing to…, I look forward to hearing from you), so learning a few of them by heart pays off in any exam.

Leave it if you want an answer.
