Frankenstein Worksheets – A2 Reading and Listening
Five worksheets that follow a simplified retelling of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, one chapter at a time. Each has a short text told by Victor Frankenstein and tasks on it, so the set works as a graded reader for A2 learners in the weeks around Halloween.
The five chapters
- Victor's Childhood – question words, choose the correct word, comprehension questions.
- University – Victor studies at Ingolstadt and becomes obsessed with electricity: short answers and true or false.
- The Secret of Life – Victor brings his creature to life: find and correct the mistakes, true or false.
- Murder – the death of Victor's brother William: a letter with gaps, choose the picture, words from a word list.
- The Meeting – Victor faces the creature in the Alps: who said it and multiple-choice questions.
Every chapter comes as a Word file and a PDF. University, The Secret of Life and The Meeting also have an MP3 recording of the text.
