    A Halloween word is spoken and has to be typed. No picture, no options, no first letter – just the sound. Thirty-five words, the whole Level 2 list, in a new order each time.

    This is the hardest task in the section and the one that shows what a student really has: the au in cauldron, the ea in treat, the silent w nobody expects, the double letters in Frankenstein. Worth doing after the word search, not before.
