When you make a sentence negative, keep the tense: plays → doesn't play, is playing → isn't playing, played → didn't play, will play → won't play.

Forty-seven sentences to turn into the negative. The tense stays the same, so the trick is to spot it first: did not, will not, do not or a form of to be.
