    It is Christmas Eve in Scrooge’s counting house. His nephew wishes him a merry Christmas, and Scrooge explains exactly what he thinks of the holiday. Learners watch the scene and answer seven questions about both points of view.

    The language is literary and the tone is ironic, so learners have to follow the argument as well as the words – B2 level.
