Listening A1 Animal Quiz

Animals are the safest ground for a first listening task, because most beginners already half know the words and can recognise far more than they can say. The description arrives, the picture waits, and the student only has to choose.

That is the real skill being taught at A1: catching the words you know inside a stream of speech you do not fully follow. Play each item twice, accept the single-word answer, and build up later to it is a penguin because it cannot fly – but not before the choosing itself feels comfortable.
