What Happens in Spring - ESL Video with Comprehension Task

The changes the season brings - flowers opening, the weather warming, animals waking after winter - and a comprehension task at the end to check what was actually understood.

Spring is described in most coursebooks in a single line and then left. This takes four and a half minutes over it: what happens to plants, what happens to the weather, and what animals do when winter ends, with the vocabulary attached to each change rather than gathered into a list.

The comprehension task at the end is what makes it a lesson rather than a screening. Students watch knowing they will be asked, which changes how they watch, and the questions show quickly whether the words went in. Good for a spring topic, a nature unit, or listening practice at any point in the year.
