The Legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table

Excalibur pulled from the stone, Camelot and the Round Table, Merlin and Guinevere, Lancelot and Galahad - the legend told in clear English, with the vocabulary that comes with it.

The Arthur legend is a good ESL story because it is built from a handful of strong images: a sword in a stone, a round table with no head, a wizard, a lake. The video runs through them in order - Excalibur and the Lady of the Lake, Arthur crowned, Camelot, the knights around the table, Guinevere, Merlin, Lancelot and Galahad.

The vocabulary is worth the time on its own: sword, knight, wizard, legend, castle, magic, battle - words children meet constantly in books and films and rarely in coursebooks. Under three minutes, and it ends where the legend does, with the promise that Arthur returns when Britain needs him.
