Saint Patrick's Day for Beginners - Pre-A1 Vocabulary

The first Saint Patrick's Day words for the youngest learners: shamrock, rainbow, pot of gold, leprechaun, hat, green. Shown one at a time, with room to repeat each one.

Pre-A1 needs less than a beginner lesson gives it: a picture, a word, and time to say the word back. That is the whole design here. Six or seven Saint Patrick's Day items appear in turn - shamrock, rainbow, pot of gold, leprechaun, hat, the colour green - with enough space after each for a class of five-year-olds to repeat it.

Pausing is part of the plan. Stop on a picture and the same slide becomes a speaking task: ask what it is, ask what colour it is, ask for a sentence from the children who can manage one. Under a minute and a half, which is about the attention span it is written for.
