My Family - Essay for Kids in English

"Write about your family" is one of the first writing tasks a child gets in English, and the difficulty is never the vocabulary - it is not knowing how the sentences should go. This is a model: just over a minute, read aloud, with the text on screen to follow.

Used twice it does more work than once. Play it as listening, then hand it back as a frame: the same sentence patterns, the child's own family members, ages and details. Family vocabulary and the possessive both get practised without a separate exercise.
