A set of clothes appears on screen, then one item vanishes. Naming what is missing needs the word, not just recognition of the picture.
What is missing is a better vocabulary test than what is this, because the picture is gone by the time the question is asked. Students have to hold the set in memory, notice the gap, and produce the word for something they can no longer see - which is much closer to what speaking actually requires.
The set here is clothes, and the same items recur across rounds so the words get several passes. Three minutes, no preparation, and it works with the whole class calling out or with pairs racing each other.
