Winter Jeopardy is a quiz board for the winter weeks, when everyone is tired of talking about the weather but still has to. Twenty-five squares in five categories, and the price of a square says how hard the question behind it is: 100 is a warm-up, 500 makes the class think.

  • Rhymes – guess the winter word from the rhyme and click its picture
  • Weather – blizzard, frost, icicle: winter weather words
  • Questions – snowman, snowballs, snow angel and the carrot nose
  • Activities – watch a short clip and say what the person is doing
  • Clothes – what do you wear to keep your hands, head and feet warm?

Play it in teams on the screen at the front of the class, or let students work through it on their own. Squares that have been taken stay crossed out, and the Reset button starts the game again for the next group.

Leave it if you want an answer.
