    Back to School Quiz

    Fifteen multiple-choice questions on the vocabulary every class needs in September: attendance, assignment, board, eraser, grade, schedule, subject and the rest of the words that fill the first weeks of term.

    Each question shows four options and tells you straight away whether you were right, so learners can work through it alone without a teacher marking anything. The score appears at the end of the set.

    It suits A2–B1 students of any age and works equally well as a warm-up on the board or as homework. Teachers often use it to check what the class already remembers before starting a new school-vocabulary unit.

    Follow-up idea: ask students to write their own definition for three words from the quiz, then read them aloud for the others to guess.
