Simon Says

Listen and move! The voice says “Simon says touch your nose!” – do it, and the camera checks. But when Simon doesn’t say… don’t move!

Put the phone on a table, leaning on something, or use a computer with a webcam. The camera picture stays on your device – nothing is sent anywhere.

How to play

  1. Tap a mode and let the browser use the camera.
  2. Step back until the camera sees your head, shoulders and hands – the outline turns green.
  3. Put your hands down. Listen: Simon says clap your hands! – clap and get a star.
  4. No Simon says? Don’t move! If you do, you lose a heart.
  5. Every star makes the game a little faster. How many stars can you get?

In class: put the game on the board with a webcam. One student stands in front of the camera, and the whole class plays along. Who is out first?

Follow me is for the youngest: every command is real, there are no tricks – a great way to learn body parts and action verbs.

Say it too: ask students to repeat the command aloud while they do it – I’m touching my nose!
